O prop\u00f3sito de uma resid\u00eancia \u00e9 dar aos artistas a capacidade de pesquisar, produzir e criar fora de seu contexto usual. As resid\u00eancias tornaram-se numa marca do mundo da arte contempor\u00e2nea ao oferecer aos artistas novos campos de trabalho e a possibilidade de explorar as peculiaridades dos lugares onde se estabelecem em resid\u00eancia por um determinado per\u00edodo de tempo. As resid\u00eancias pretendem ser como uma casa para os artistas desenvolverem os seus processos criativos experimentais, para criar sem press\u00f5es comerciais e colaborar com outros artistas num ambiente que incentiva a cria\u00e7\u00e3o relacionada com o dia a dia.<\/p>\n

O processo criativo numa resid\u00eancia art\u00edstica pode tornar-se intenso, da mesma forma como viver e trabalhar se pode fundir e entrela\u00e7ar, estimulados pelo desafio de estar fora do est\u00fadio e interagir com outros artistas. Tamb\u00e9m devemos sublinhar o v\u00ednculo emocional que pode se estabelecer entre os participantes, assim como as no\u00e7\u00f5es de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o e partilha, ambas para trocar experi\u00eancias a um n\u00edvel pr\u00e1tico, conceptual e t\u00e9cnico.
\nOutro objectivo fundamental ser\u00e1 o de criar oportunidades para o desenvolvimento do processo criativo para artistas e curadores fora do contexto das galerias de arte.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 purpose of a residence is designed to give the artists the ability to research, produce and\u00a0 create\u00a0 outside of their usual context. The residencies have been\u00a0 a hallmark on the\u00a0 contemporary art world. They offer the artist\u00a0 new fields of work and the chance to explore the peculiarities of the places where they will be established for a certain time within the residency. The residencies aim to be like a home to artists and their creative experimental processes. Residencies intend\u00a0 to create opportunities for artists to create without commercial pressures and collaborate with other artists in an environment that encourage the creation related to daily life.<\/em><\/p>\n

The creative process in an artistic residence it can be intense, as living and working becomes fused \u00a0and interwined. This is\u00a0 stimulated by the challenge of being out of the studio and by the\u00a0 interaction with other artists. It must be stressed also the emotional bond that can be established among the participants, as well as the notion of cooperation and sharing, both to exchange experiences to a \u00a0practical, conceptual and technical level.<\/em><\/p>\n

Another key objective will be to create opportunities for the development of the creative process, outside the context of the gallery for artists and curators. <\/em><\/p>\n
